Had a good hour long session playing .25/.50 LHE on PS this morning.  Made 15.75, for a 27.79 BB/Hour profit.  Not too shabby.

So, my buddy Matt turned 30 on Thursday, and he decided to have a poker tournament at his house last night.  Played two games, finished 3rd out of 16 for $40, and won the second, with 10 entries, for $140.  Not too bad of a night.

Been a while.  Had a $100 downswing on PokerStars, where I just couldn’t catch a hand.  I’ve worked my bankroll there back up to $60, so it’s progress; decided I wasn’t going to dump anymore money into Paradise, until I get comfortable with ring games; deposited $50 into FTP, and have made a $6 profit there so far, and finished 2nd in the Ultimate Casino Guide’s Christmas freeroll over at (Carribean) Sun Poker.  Going to a live $20 buy-in tomorrow, good times, good times.

Played 5 SnG’s tonight, finished 1st in 1, for a $27 win; however, I didn’t money in the other 4, making tonight a net of $3 up.  Woot.  Or something.  What can I say, I had a set of Queens get beat by a river straight, and had my pocket A’s beaten by a set of 9′s.  Just bad luck, vairnece, bad beats, however you want to look at it.
On a good note, I think I’m playing better, I’ve gotten more agressive, so that tends to do well in these low limit buyins.  The downside is I have to be picky on which hands to play.  A good article about how I try to play this stuff now.

Well, went to Jason’s and played, and got beat bad. Finished 9th out of 10, just couldn’t catch any cards.

Then, after making plans to play a short handed Omaha game, everyone decides to back out. Shit, I wouldn’t have wasted my time sitting around over there if I had known that we weren’t going to play another game.

So came back home, and played another $6+.50 Turbo SnG. What follows is what I think the best hand was:

Oh, and I ended up winning it, making a whole $2 for the night.  Woot!

Well, managed to finish 3rd in another SnG tonight. Made $5, not too bad for just sitting around the house. Cards were cold though…I only had 2 decent starting hands. Ended up going all in with a A8.  Luckily, I flopped 2 more A’s, and I doubled up.  From there, just played a tight/agressive game until the end.  Oh well, it’s better than going out and blowing money, I guess.
